TRUNK OR TREAT
Theatre students had a blast at the Bloomingdale Trunk or Treat!
Dr. Cornwell attended the 2025 FATE (Florida Association of Theatre Educators) in Orlando, October 9-11. Heidi Blickenstaff just closed the FIRST EDM musical, "The Heart" at La Jolla Playhouse in California. She has been featured in "Jagged Little Pill", "The Adams Family," (Alice), "The Little Mermaid" (Ursula), she is a creator of "[title of show]" (Heidi), and was the flight captain in Broadway's "Come From Away". Heidi also can ben seen in the movie "Freaky Friday". Dr. Cornwell also presented a workshop, "The Supernanny Approach to Theatre Classroom Management".
Several BSHS theatre students attended the USF Day of Theatre on October 1. The event included a performance of USF Theatre's Alice by Heart and performance and technical theatre workshops.
Dr. Cornwell has been selected to work with Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, through a grant from the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. The grant provides teacher training to work with neurodivergent young people in the world of theatre, OST's Acting With Heart program. The cast will perform "10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocapylis" by Don Zolidis on November 8, 2025!
